Stony Brook, N.Y. - On April 3rd, several Stony Brook alumni enjoyed a reunion at the Staples Center in Los Angeles while watching the Los Angeles Lakers take on the Houston Rockets. In attendance at the game were former men's basketball standouts Patrick Garahan `69, Jack Cohen `79, and Alan Koch `71. Also in attendance at the game were Jackie Cohen '93 and Brian McWilliams '78. Prior to the game, former men's hoopster Bruce Friedman '71 reunited with Koch, his college roommate, to reminisce about the good old days at Stony Brook.

The get-together was one of several outstanding alumni events this year. In January, Stony Brook Athletics hosted the highly successful Celebration of Stony Brook Basketball. On that day, over 50 men's and women's basketball alumni returned to Pritchard Gymnasium to cheer the men's and women's basketball teams to victory over UMBC.
