Stony Brook, N.Y. - Winners of 12 of its last 14 games including eight straight, the first-place Stony Brook University men's basketball team will look to continue its winning ways on Friday, traveling to take on Albany at SEFCU Arena. Game time is set for 7 p.m. The game will be televised live on MSG Plus and can also be heard on WUSB 90.1 FM and goseawolves.org. Fans can also follow the contest through gametracker at goseawolves.org. Live video streaming is available at AmericaEast.TV.

Television Information
Eric Frede (play-by-play) and Frank Sullivan (color analyst) will be announcing the game on MSG Plus, which is Channel 72 on Cablevision, channel 635 on DirecTV, channel 413 on Dish Network and channel 80 on Verizon Fios. This will be one of seven Seawolves games that will be televised this season.

Radio Information
Mike Solano (play-by-play), Jeff Bernstein '92 (analyst) and Curt Hylton `91 (analyst) will broadcast Friday's contest locally on WUSB 90.1 FM and goseawolves.org. The pre-game show kicks off at 6:45 p.m.

Last Time Out
Senior Muhammad El-Amin (Lansing, Mich.) led four Seawolves in double-figures with a game-high 26 points and Stony Brook opened the second half on a 19-5 run on its way to a 86-72 win over the UMBC Retrievers on Tuesday night at the RAC Arena.

El-Amin scored 15 of his 26 in the first half and was named the Seawolves' America East Player of the Game. Junior Chris Martin (Springfield Gardens, N.Y.) added 17 while sophomore Tommy Brenton (Columbia, Md.) chipped in with his second straight double-double (10 points, 11 rebounds).

A Look At Albany
Albany (7-21, 2-11 AE) enters Friday's game off a 75-62 road win at UMBC, which snapped an eight-game losing streak. Scotty McRae scored a career-high 21 points while Tim Ambrose chipped in with 17 points and 10 rebounds. Ambrose is averaging a team-high 13.4 points per game, which ranks 11th in the America East. Will Harris is averaging 12.3 points per game and ranks fifth in the America East in field goal percentage (.469). Harris did not play in the first meeting between the teams this season.

 

 

vs. Albany
Stony Brook leads the series, 11-10, since both teams moved to Division I in 1999-00. Stony Brook has won the last three meetings after Albany had won the previous seven. The Seawolves held the Great Danes to an average of 51.0 points per game over the last three meetings. Sophomore Bryan Dougher's (Scotch Plains, N.J.) three-pointer with 1:08 remaining broke a 58-all tie in the first meeting this season as the Seawolves went on to the 67-61 victory. Freshman Marcus Rouse (Upper Marlboro, Md.) scored a game-high 17 points against the Great Danes, going 8-for-10 from the field. El-Amin scored a game-high 17 points in the Seawolves 58-45 win at SEFCU Arena last season. It was the Seawolves first victory at Albany since 2004.
