Cambridge, Mass. - After a monster week that included two home runs and 11 RBI over four games, junior Kevin Krause (Staten Island, N.Y.) has been named the America East Player of the Week, the conference office announced Monday.

This is Krause's second Player of the Week accolade, having also earned the nod on April 28. He hit .588 (10-for-17) in four games last week, all #Seawolves victories, with four of his hits going for extra bases. He scored a team-high eight runs and led all players with 11 RBI.

To open the week last Wednesday at NYIT, Krause smashed a pair of home runs as part of a four-RBI day. Then in a three-game sweep at UMBC, Krause went 7-for-13 and had seven RBI, three coming on a bases-clearing double in the series finale.

Krause has thoroughly enjoyed playing on the road this season. In 23 true road games, he is hitting .422 with six home runs and 26 RBI. Overall, on the season, he is batting a team-best .349 with seven home runs and 44 RBI. He leads America East in home runs, RBI, slugging (.533) and total bases (90).

Krause and the #Seawolves have won six straight and 25 of their last 30 games. They are in first place in America East at 16-4 and will play Hartford in the regular season finale this weekend at Joe Nathan Field. The team that wins two of three in the series will be crowned the No. 1 seed at the America East Championship.
