Baseball looks to extend win streak against FDU, Fairfield

Stony Brook, N.Y. - Off to its best start in 11 years, the Stony Brook University baseball team will look to extend its seven-game winning streak in two non-conference road games. The Seawolves will face FDU on Tuesday before taking on Fairfield on Wednesday. First pitch for both is set for 3:30 p.m. Last time out: McNitt (5-1) struck out six and scattered six hits over 7.0 innings. Sophomore Tanner Nivins (Kitchener, Ontario) went 4-for-5 with three RBI for the Seawolves (26-9, 9-1 AE). Scouting Fairleigh Dickinson This will be the second meeting between the teams this season. The Seawolves knocked off the Knights, 16-7, earlier this season as Stony Brook recorded 17 hits and six players drive in two or more runs. Ryan Krsey is hitting a team-high .336 and is also tied for the team lead with four home runs. Scouting Fairfield Fairfield is 5-5 in conference play and were picked seventh in the nine-team MAAC in the preseason coaches poll. Senior second baseman Tucker Nathans recently became the program's all-times hit leader and leads the team in batting average (.314) and RBI (22).
