Stony Brook, N.Y. - The Stony Brook baseball team will engage in a pair of non-conference games this week as it takes on Central Connecticut on the road Tuesday and hosts NYIT Wednesday at Joe Nathan Field.

The Seawolves and Blue Devils will square off Tuesday at 3 p.m., in New Britain, Conn. These two teams have played each other each of the last three seasons with Central Connecticut winning two of three contests. Last season, Stony Brook won, 4-3, at home. CCSU is 17-18 overall and 10-10 in the Northeast Conference. Stony Brook is 1-1 against NEC teams this season, having beaten Fairleigh Dickinson and lost to Bryant.

Stony Brook and NYIT will battle for the second straight week. The Seawolves defeated the Bears, 6-0, last Wednesday and has now won 13 of the last 15 meetings, dating back to the start of the 2008 season. The Bears are 5-31 overall and 3-9 in the Great West Conference and have won two straight. They will play at Manhattan Tuesday before facing the Seawolves.
