Anthony Stutz is joining the Stony Brook coaching staff for his second year as pitching coach. Stutz served as the interim coach last year after playing four years of professional baseball as a minor league player in the Anaheim Angles system, for the Brockton Rox and for the Evansville Otters. Stutz played two years with the Seawolves, being named team MVP in 2002 and posting an 11-7 record and 109 strikeouts in two seasons, and graduated with his B.A. in Multidisciplinary Studies in 2003.

Last year, under his guidance, the Stony Brook pitching staff led the America East in ERA (4.22), strikeouts (350) and had the best strikeout to walk ratio. He will continue to serve as the pitching coach and assist for recruiting for Stony Brook.
