Cambridge, Mass. – Senior Olivia Burne of the Stony Brook women’s cross country team has been named America East Co-Performer of the week, the conference office announced Tuesday morning.

This is the third honor of the year for the Seawolves and first for Burne. Keown was named Performer of the Week Sept. 17 and Oct. 1.

Burne, who splits the honor with Albany senior Brittany Lane, posted a 6k time of 20:50 and placed 69th in a field of 288 runners that included members of top-10, nationally ranked programs in Providence, Arizona and Arkansas at the Wisconsin Invite Saturday.

Stony Brook remained in the upper echelon of the USTFCCCA Northeast Regional Rankings, coming in at a conference-best No. 9 in the Oct. 21 poll.

Burne and the Seawolves will race in the Central Connecticut Mini Meet Friday and will vie for their record-tying seventh consecutive America East crown Saturday, Nov. 2 at Binghamton University.
