Men's Results | Women's Results

Princeton, N.J. - Sophomore Eric Speakman (Napier, New Zealand) and junior Olivia Burne (Palmerston North, New Zealand) each captured individual titles at the Princeton Invitational on Saturday morning.

"Without some key members of the squad today, I thought both teams had solid performances," coach Andy Ronan said.  "Dan Denis continues to improve and Kristal Conklin is showing some good senior leadership as we approach the championship part of the season."

Speakman, who ran the course in 23:58, led the men's team to an eighth-place finish.

Burne, who led the women's squad to a fourth-place finish, won in a time of 21:25. The Seawolves received a strong performance from senior Kristal Conklin (Middletown, N.Y.), who placed ninth (21:58). Junior Annie Keown (Auckland, New Zealand) crossed in 13th place (22:04) and junior Lorraine McCarthy (Waterford, Ireland) 18th (22:08).

Junior Daniel Denis (Bayport, N.Y.) finished in 17th place (24:47) and freshman Mitchell Kun (Brooklyn, N.Y.) placed 47th (25:08).

Both teams will have a short turnaround, competing on Friday, October 19 at the Central Connecticut Mini Meet.
