Burne qualifies for women's track NCAA East Regionals

Junior Olivia Burne of the Stony Brook women's track team has been selected to participate in the NCAA Outdoor Regional Championships in the women's 1500-meter event. Competition is slated for May 23 and 25 at North Carolina A&T College in Greensboro, N.C.

Melian wins ECAC crown in women's 3000

Freshman Christina Melian capped of what has been a tremendous freshman year by winning the ECAC crown in the women's 3000-meter in 9:48.97 Sunday at Princeton University. She held off Cornell freshman Caroline Kellner by .71 seconds for the championship win.

Burne wins America East title in 1500-meter

- Junior Olivia Burne posted an ECAC-qualifying time of 4:26.24 in a title-clinching win in the women's 1500-meter to highlight the final day of competition for the Stony Brook men's and women's track and field programs at the America East Outdoor Championships Saturday.
