Cambridge, Mass. -Senior Olivia Burne of the Stony Brook women's track team ran another stellar mile Friday and has been named America East Track Performer of the Week. 

The Palmerston, New Zealand native clocked in at 4:38.28 and finished first among collegiate athletes and fourth overall at the David Hemery Valentine Invitational hosted by Boston University. The time qualified her for the ECACs for the second time this season in the mile and ranks 11th nationally for the 2013-14 campaign. She notched a new personal record when she placed third among collegiate runners in 4:38.10, the eighth-fastest time in the event this season, at Boston University's Terrier Invite Jan 24.

Burne also qualified ECACs in the 1,000 when she placed first in 2:51.50 at the Saturday Night Shootout Jan. 19.

The Seawolves return to action Manhattan Invite Saturday.
