Greensboro, N.C. –Junior Olivia Burne clocked in at 4:44.81 in the women’s 1500 meter run in the quarterfinals of the NCAA East Regionals Saturday at North Carolina A&T in Greensboro, N.C.

Though the time did not qualify her for the semifinal round in Eugene, Ore., Burne has finished off a fantastic 2012-13 campaign that included an individual conference crown in the women’s outdoor 1500, numerous academic awards and a team America East title in cross country.

Burne has made the NCAA Regionals in each of her first three seasons at Stony Brook, and this is the first time she advanced to the second round.
