Boston, Mass. - The Stony Brook men's track and field distance medley relay team consisting of Alex Lopresti (1200-meters), Robert Taylor (400-meters), Matt Granata (800-meters) and anchor Gabriel Vazquez (mile) ran a season-best time of 10:06.96 to take one of the nine spots in the IC4A Indoor Championship final Saturday.

The #Seawolves placed eighth in the 18-squad field.

Bradley Amazan established a new personal record in the 800-meters, finishing fourth in his heat 1:53.67. The time was the best by a Seawolf in the event in 2013-14.

"Though he did not qualify for the finals, Bradley gained valuable experience in his first trip to the championship," head coach Andy Ronan said of the sophomore.

Junior Chris Hand also competed in his first IC4A meet and finished in the top 25 with a 16.22-meter heave in the weight throw.

In addition to the DMR, the Seawolves have Dan Denis competing in the 3,000-meters final Sunday.
