New York, N.Y. - Kristal Conklin, Megan Gallagher, Sara Demalderis and Christina Melian won the women's distance medley relay with a time of 12:25.27, while Tyler Frigge, Angelo DePrimo, James Snak and Daniel Denis clocked in at 10:15.96 and placed second in the men's distance medley relay at the NY Gotham Cup Friday at The Armory. The men's relay time marked an IC4A qualifier. 

Nicholas Lemon had the best individual finish for the Stony Brook men's track and field team, clocking in at 15:14.03 and earning seventh in the 5,000-meter run.

In the field events, Lamar Hayes paced the Seawolves with a 6.53-meter jump and 13th-place result in the long jump. Chris Hand and Thomas Harty notched 14.12 and 12.95 meter throws to take 15th and 19th, respectively, in the weight throw. Matthew Koh tallied a 12.28-meter throw in the shot put seeded finals to place 19th and round out six top-20 finishes for the men's squad at The Armory. 

The Stony Brook women's track and field team had three top-20 results Friday, with Megan Liu taking 17th with a 9.80-meter jump in the triple jump and Kayla Mazza finishing 19th in the shot put seeded event on a 10.30-meter throw. 

The Seawolves head back to New York City Saturday, Jan. 19 for the NYU Team Challenge.
