American International vs. Stony Brook

 

Saturday, September 11th, 6 p.m.

 

Long Island High School Football Night

All Long Island High School football programs are coming to Kenneth P. LaValle Stadium to cheer on your Seawolves as they host American International! Any High School football program that submits their team roster to the Stony Brook Athletic Department prior to game day will receive FREE admission.

 

Sunrise Fund Night

Stony Brook Athletics has teamed up with the Sunrise Fund to benefit the University Cancer Center. A donation of $2 will be added to all tickets for the Seawolves home opener. The Sunrise Fund at Stony Brook was established to raise awareness about childhood cancer and to raise funds for specific projects including a relief center, a playroom, extended support services, facilities, and programs that meet our families growing needs, and vital research into the causes and treatment of childhood cancers. Three Village Night

The Three Village youth football community can purchase discounted tickets by calling the ticket office at 631-632-WOLF prior to game day. Three Village Chamber of Commerce members can also purchase discounted tickets by calling the Seawolves ticket office or by going online at www.GoSeawolves.org; and all Three Village Chamber of Commerce members who purchase 5 tickets or more will receive a FREE business advertisement in the Seawolves Game Day Program that are distributed as fans arrive at the stadium.

 

 


 

Massachusetts vs. Stony Brook 

 

Saturday, September 25th, 6 p.m.

 

Band Day

Long Island High School Bands will be invited out to Kenneth P. LaValle Stadium for a day filled with events and performances showcasing musical talent, which includes the opportunity to play at halftime of the Seawolves football game.

 

 

University Student Government Field Day

The Undergraduate Student Government and Student Life are putting together a major student program that will culminate with a carnival type atmosphere prior to the Stony Brook Football game that night.

 

Scout Day

Boys and Girls who are Scouts from across Long Island will be invited out to Stony Brook University's Kenneth P. LaValle Stadium to cheer on the Seawolves. All Scouts will receive a discounted ticket to the game and will have the opportunity to go onto the field for the National Anthem. 

 

 


 

 

VMI vs. Stony Brook

                                                           

Saturday, October 9th, 3 p.m.

 

Homecoming - Wolfstock

Stony Brook University will host Wolfstock 2010 - A Homecoming Tradition as the Seawolves football team will battle VMI in LaValle Stadium. Wolfstock 2010 will include activities designed for alumni, students, faculty, staff, and their families, as well as for the extended Stony Brook family of community members, neighbors and civic organizations. This student programming event will be organized by the Spirit and Pride committee. At halftime the Stony Brook homecoming King and Queen presentation will take place. Singer/songwriter, Angelina DelCarmine will perform the National Anthem.

 

 

 

 

Charleston Southern vs. Stony Brook 

 

Saturday, October 30th, 3 p.m.

 

9th Annual Raymond M. Downey Heroes Classic

For this special event all firefighters, policemen, military, and emergency services personnel with valid ID can buy a ticket for admission and receive a second ticket FREE; as Stony Brook honors the heroes in our community.

On this day, the Seawolves will honor the memory of Deputy Chief Raymond Downey who lost his life in the line of duty during the terrorist attacks on the World Trade Center on September 11, 2001. All fire departments in attendance are encouraged to display one piece of apparatus at the main entrance to LaValle Stadium.

The Stony Brook Fire Department will hold a contest for all Fire Departments who attend this game. Contestant winners include:

-         the Department that displays the oldest apparatus at LaValle Stadium

-         the Department that travels the furthest to the game

-         the Department with the best display

Fire Department awards will be presented at halftime by the Stony Brook Fire Department. Contest rules and parking instructions will be forwarded to those wishing to participate. Please contact 631-632-WOLF for more information.

 

Communiversity Day

Faculty and staff of Stony Brook University will be honored and will be able to purchase a discounted ticket prior to the game with their employee ID.

 

Parent and Family Weekend

Parents and family members of Stony Brook students are invited out to LaValle Stadium as a part of their weekend visit to the campus. Their event programming will lead up to a BBQ behind LaValle Stadium prior to the game.

Fan Appreciation Day

Stony Brook University Athletics and Seawolves football will have special giveaways, prizes and contests for all fans who visit Seawolves country at LaValle Stadium. Thank you for all of your support!

 

SBU Commuter Student Day

Commuter students who RSVP to the Commuter Students Association will receive two FREE tickets, for family or non-SBU friends, to the game besides their own FREE admission.
