Lauren Brown was named an academic advisor at Stony Brook in August of 2004. Brown serves as an advisor for Stony Brook baseball, men's lacrosse, volleyball and men's and women's soccer. Brown provides career planning and course selection for each of her teams while teaching Introduction to Stony Brook in the Undergraduate College of Information and Technology Studies and the Undergraduate College of Leadership and Service as well as assisting with the administration of the CHAMPS/Life Skills Progam. A native of Swarthmore, Penn., Brown graduated from Penn State University in 2001 with a bachelor's in marketing. She then went on to earn her master's in sport and recreation administration from Temple University in August of 2004. |
