Vincent Accardi was promoted to the Coordinator of Marketing and Ticketing Operations in January 2010 after serving as a graduate assistant of ticketing operations since he joined the Seawolves in August 2009. In his current role, Vincent is responsible for all sales initiatives for four ticketed sports, as well as the day-to-day operations of the athletics ticket office. As a part of the external services team, Accardi is in charge of staffing all functions of game-day ticketing and will call. Accardi also oversees several full-time ticketing operations interns who assist him in the day-to-day functions of the athletics ticket office as well as the depositing, reporting, and financial accounting work. Prior to his time at Stony Brook, Accardi worked at the Aviator Sports and Events Center as the Director of Media Relations after being promoted from an Event/Group Sales Executive for the sport and entertainment facility. Before that, Accardi was an events trainee at Team Epic in Norwalk, Conn., during which time he planned and executed events for brands such as FedEx and MARS. Accardi launched his career in the sports industry working for Major League Baseball in the Office of the Commissioner as a Public Relations Assistant and as a Special Events/Gameday Assistant for the New York Jets. A native of Centereach, N.Y., Vincent earned his bachelor's degree in sport management with a minor in business from St. John's University in May 2005, and is currently working towards his master's degree in liberal arts and science with a certificate in coaching at Stony Brook. Vincent and his wife, Mary Beth, reside in West Babylon, N.Y. |
