Stony Brook Fans Have More Options to Follow Seawolves Athletics
Sept. 8, 2009 Stony Brook, N.Y. - Fans of Stony Brook University athletics now have even more options to follow their favorite Seawolves teams. Stony Brook's official website, www.GoSeawolves.org, now contains links to Stony Brook's official YouTube, Facebook and Twitter pages, giving fans a number of options to stay in touch with the Seawolves. Stony Brook fans that have joined the Twitter craze can follow the Seawolves at www.twitter.com/SBAthletics -- the official Stony Brook Athletics twitter page. Fans can receive instant updates, or "tweets," with the latest SBU Athletics news and announcements directly via the internet or on their mobile phone. Users must create an account to join. Once logged in, fans have the choice of following other users, and they can activate their mobile devices to receive tweets as other users, including the Stony Brook Athletics account, post them. Facebook, the most popular social networking site on the internet, also provides a way for Stony Brook fans to follow the Seawolves. Fans that have Facebook accounts can become a fan of the Stony Brook Athletics page and receive news, announcements and schedules for the Seawolves at www.facebook.com/StonyBrookAthletics. Stony Brook's mascot, Wolfie, is also online with Twitter and Facebook pages where Seawolves fans can follow him.
