Stony Brook, N.Y. - The Stony Brook Department of Athletics is proud to announce that the world renowned Harlem Globetrotters will open the newly renovated Stony Brook Arena with a pair of games on Saturday, Oct. 4 at 2 and 7 p.m. The games will be the first in the arena since March 2012 when the facility went offline to begin the renovation project.

Tickets for the two games will go on sale to the general public on Thursday, Aug. 14 at 9:30 a.m., via www.GoSeawolves.org, www.harlemglobetrotters.com or by calling (631) 632-7142. Ticket prices range from $20-$125.

“We are excited to open Stony Brook Arena with one of the world’s great teams that has been entertaining fans for decades,” Director of Athletics Shawn Heilbron said. “The family-friendly show that the Harlem Globetrotters provide represents the perfect lead-in for our new arena as we get set to showcase Stony Brook’s men’s and women’s basketball teams and the best game day experience on Long Island beginning in November.”

The Globetrotters’ one-of-a-kind show is unrivaled in the world of family entertainment, showcasing some of the greatest athletes on the planet.
