2001 - P.A.W.S. Campaign Victory Celebration 9-15-01

Bill Kuzmack, center, accepts his award for Volunteer of the Year
from Jessica Biegaj, Director of the Seawolves Club and Rick Cole,
Associate Athletic Director for External Affairs. Bill, a fourth year
volunteer on the Big Bad Wolves team, had 181 donors give over $21,000 to
the Seawolves Club during the five week P.A.W.S. Campaign.

 Sandy Albano, right, captain of the Fast Break Club volunteer team
was voted Rookie of the Year. The award is given to a new volunteer who
best exemplifies the spirit of the campaign and the mission of the
Department of Athletics. Rick Cole and Jessica Biegaj of the Office of
External Affairs presented him with his award.

 Brian Lotito, captain of the Young Guns volunteer team, received
the Captain of the Year award from Jessica Biegaj and Rick Cole. Brian, a
2001 graduate of Stony Brook, headed up a team of five other volunteers who
raised over $20,000 in gifts for athletic scholarships.

$63,000 during the five week campaign. Paul Dudzick served as captain of
the team for the fourth year.
