Record Number 57 Student-Athletes Named To America East Fall Academic Honor Roll
Feb. 4, 2010 Cambridge, Mass. - A record number of 57 Stony Brook student-athletes were named to the America East Fall Academic Honor Roll, the conference recently announced. It is the second straight year SBU has posted a new Honor Roll record. Students had to earn grade point averages of 3.0 or higher last semester to receive this recognition. The men's cross country and women's soccer teams each had 13 members and the women's cross country and men's soccer teams had 11 and 7, respectively. 12 of the 15 members from the volleyball team also were on the list. In addition, 28 student-athletes were named to the America East Commissioner's Honor Roll for completing the semester with a grade point average of 3.5 or better.
