What They Are Saying About P.A.W.S.
"The young people at Stony Brook today have goals and aspirations just like we did. They are striving to achieve them, and coaches are working so hard for them. Your gift to Stony Brook, regardless of amount, delivers a message to kids and coaches. It tells them that what they are doing is important.. and that you are behind them all the way."
Stu Sharoff '81 Stony Brook Athletics Hall of Fame
"When looking for a university, I wanted to go somewhere I could not only compete at the highest level of lacrosse, but a place that would help me grow academically and personally. Stony Brook has provided all of those things and more. Stony Brook has a system in place that is designed for student-athletes to succeed, on and off the field, and I am proud to be a part of that."
Brendan Callahan '07 Hanover, Maryland - Men's Lacrosse
"My time at Stony Brook has been more challenging and fulfilling, both academically and athletically, than I ever expected. On and off the basketball court I have had more obstacles followed by more success than anywhere else I could be."
Jessica Smith '07 Bloomingdale, New Jersey - Women's Basketball
"Being a student-athlete at Stony Brook has allowed me to experience the best of both the athletic and academic worlds. As an athlete, I participate in a competitive Division I program against other top-notch athletes from outstanding universities. As a student, my mind is constantly being challenged by world renowned professors. I've enjoyed my first three years and look forward to the challenges that await in the classroom and on the court in my senior year."
