Beth O'Boyle participates in Center for Coaching Excellence

Stony Brook women's basketball head coach Beth O'Boyle attended the 2013 Women's Basketball Coaches Association's Center for Coaching Excellence (CCE) hosted by Columbia University in Manhattan last week. O'Boyle was one of 32 Women's Basketball Coaches Association (WBCA) head coaches asked to take part in the selective three-day leadership seminar.

FREE "Movie Night" at LaValle Stadium July 30

Stony Brook University Athletics will host FREE "Movie Night" presented by Team Ardolino and Realty Connect USA and Bethpage Federal Credit Union, Tuesday, July 30 at Kenneth P. LaValle Stadium at 7 p.m (rain date July 31). Fans can choose which movie they want to see by voting on Twitter or Facebook.

Football garners academic award at NACDA

For a second straight year, the Stony Brook football team has garnered one of the highest academic achievements at the Football Championship Subdivision (FCS) level. The Seawolves' Academic Progress Rate (APR) was the highest among the Big South football playing institutions.

Former Idaho WR Level transfers to Stony Brook

Jahrie Level, the University of Idaho's third-leading receiver in 2012, has transferred to Stony Brook, head coach Chuck Priore announced on Monday. Level, who played his high school ball at Miami Northwestern in Florida, will have two years of eligibility left.
